theseatwhenthePTOisengaged.
Thehourmeterhassymbolstonotifytheuserwhenthe
interlockcomponentisinthecorrectposition.Whenthe
componentisinthecorrectposition,atrianglewilllightup
inthecorrespondingsquare.

Testthesafetyinterlocksystembeforeyouusethemachine
eachtime.Ifthesafetysystemdoesnotoperateasdescribed
below,haveanAuthorizedServiceDealerrepairthesafety
systemimmediately.
1.Sittingontheseat,engagetheparkingbrake,andmove
thebladecontrolswitch(PTO)toon.Trystartingthe
engine;theengineshouldnotcrank.
2.Sittingontheseat,engagetheparkingbrake,andmove
thebladecontrolswitch(PTO)tooff.Moveeither
motioncontrollever(outofneutrallockedposition).
Trystartingtheengine;theengineshouldnotcrank.
Repeatfortheothercontrollever.
3.Sittingontheseat,engagetheparkingbrake,move
thebladecontrolswitch(PTO)tooff,andmovethe
motioncontrolleverstoneutrallockposition.Now
starttheengine.Whiletheengineisrunning,releasethe
parkingbrake,engagethebladecontrolswitch(PTO),
andriseslightlyfromtheseat;theengineshouldstop.
4.Sittingontheseat,engagetheparkingbrake,move
thebladecontrolswitch(PTO)tooff,andmovethe
motioncontrolleverstotheneutrallockposition.
Nowstarttheengine.Whiletheengineisrunning,
centereithermotioncontrolandmove(forwardor
reverse);theengineshouldstop.Repeatfortheother
motioncontrol.
5.Sittingontheseat,disengagetheparkingbrake,move
thebladecontrolswitch(PTO)tooff,andmovethe
motioncontrolleverstotheneutrallockposition.Try
startingtheengine;theengineshouldnotcrank.
DrivingForwardorBackward
Thethrottlecontrolregulatestheenginespeedasmeasured
inrpm(revolutionsperminute).Placethethrottlecontrolin
thefastpositionforbestperformance.Alwaysoperateinthe
fullthrottlepositionwhenmowing.
CAUTION
Themachinecanspinveryrapidly.Theoperator
maylosecontrolofthemachineandcausepersonal
injuryordamagetothemachine.
