AdjustingtheControlHandle
Position
Therearetwoheightpositionsforthecontrollevers;highand
low .Removetheboltstoadjusttheheightfortheoperator.
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrolleversto
theneutrallockedposition,andsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Loosentheboltsandangenutsinstalledinthelevers
(Figure81).
4.Aligntheleversfronttorearpositionbybringthe
leverstogethertotheneutralpositionandslidethem
untiltheyarealigned,thentightenthebolts(Figure82).

Thepumpcontrollinkagesarelocatedbelowtheseaton
eithersideofthefueltank.Rotatethepumplinkagewith
a1/2inchwrenchfornetuningadjustmentssothatthe
machinedoesnotmoveinneutral.Anyadjustmentsshould
bemadeforneutralpositioningonly.
WARNING
Theenginemustberunningandthedrivewheels
mustbeturningsothatthemotioncontrol
adjustmentcanbeperformed.Contactwithmoving
partsorhotsurfacesmaycausepersonalinjury.
Keepyourngers,hands,andclothingclearof
rotatingcomponentsandhotsurfaces.
1.Priortostartingtheengine,pushthedeckliftpedal
andremovetheheightofcutpin.Lowerthedeckto
theground.
2.Raisetherearofthemachineupandsupportitwith
jackstands(orequivalentsupport)justhighenoughto
allowthedrivewheelstoturnfreely.
3.Removetheelectricalconnectionfromtheseatsafety
switch,locatedunderthebottomcushionoftheseat.
Theswitchisapartoftheseatassembly.
4.Temporarilyinstallajumperwireacrosstheterminals
intheconnectorofthemainwiringharness.
5.Starttheengine.Thebrakemustbeengagedand
themotioncontrolleversouttostarttheengine.
Theoperatordoesnothavetobeintheseat
becauseofthejumperwirebeingused.Runthe
engineatfullthrottleandreleasethebrake.
