theoilcooler(Figure66).Thishelpsensureadequate
cooling,correctenginespeed,andreducesthepossibilityof
overheatingandmechanicaldamagetotheengine.

1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO)andsetthe
parkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Removetheairintakescreen,recoilstarter,andfan
housing(Figure67).
4.Cleanthedebrisandgrassfromtheengineparts.
5.Installtheair-intakescreen,recoilstarter,andfan
housing(Figure67).

Important:Thefastenersonthecoversofthismachine
aredesignedtoremainonthecoverafterremoval.
Loosenallofthefastenersoneachcoverafewturns
sothatthecoverisloosebutstillattached,thengo
backandloosenthemuntilthecovercomesfree.This
preventsyoufromaccidentallystrippingtheboltsfree
oftheretainers.
1.DisengagethePTOandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Movetheseatforward.
4.Waitfortheengineandhydraulicsystemtocool.
5.Cleanthedebrisandgrassfromthehydraulicunit
shrouds(Figure68).
