cuttinggrass;andfrayededges,burnmarks,andcrackson
thebelt.
Replacingthe
Counter-RotatingBelt
Important:Thefastenersonthecoversofthismachine
aredesignedtoremainonthecoverafterremoval.
Loosenallofthefastenersoneachcoverafewturns
sothatthecoverisloosebutisstillattached,thengo
backandloosenthemuntilthecovercomesfree.This
preventsyoufromaccidentallystrippingtheboltsfree
oftheretainers.
1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),movethe
motion-controlleverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCKposition,
andsettheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Lowerthemowertothe76mm(3inch)height-of-cut.
4.Toaccessthecenterpulley,removetheboltsholding
theoorpandownandraisetheoorpan.
5.Removetheplasticbeltcover(Figure72).
6.Removethe3boltsholdingthemetalbeltcoverin
placeandremovethemetalbeltcover.
