Ifthesafetylterisdirty,thentheprimarylteris
damaged.Replacebothlters.
InstallingtheFilters
Important:Topreventenginedamage,alwaysoperate
theenginewithbothairltersandcoverinstalled.
1.Ifinstallingnewlters,checkeachlterforshipping
damage.
Note:Donotuseadamagedlter.
2.Ifyouarereplacingtheinnerlter,carefullyslideitinto
thelterbody(Figure45).
3.Carefullyslidetheprimarylterovertheinnerlter
(Figure45).
Note:Ensurethattheprimarylterisfullyseatedby
pushingonitsouterrimwhileinstallingit.
Important:Donotpressonthesoftinsidearea
ofthelter.
4.Positiontheair-cleanercover,sothatthebreathervalve
doesnotinterferewiththethrottlemechanism(Figure
