UsingtheClutchShim
Somelatermodelyearunitshavebeenbuiltwithclutchesthat
containabrakeshim.Whentheclutchbrakehasworntothe
pointwheretheclutchnolongerengagesconsistently,the
shimcanberemovedtoextendtheclutchlife.

1.Stoptheengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,and
removethekey.
2.Engagetheparkingbrakeandallowthemachineto
coolcompletelybeforestartingtheseinstructions.
3.Usinganaircompressor,blowoutanydebrisfrom
underthebrakepoleandaroundthebrakespacers.

eldshell/armature.Thebrakepolehasworn
tomatchthearmatureandneedstocontinueto
matchaftertheshimisremovedtoensureproper
braketorque.
