depressingthesmallerlockingbuttonandmovingthe
switchforwardtoengagetheparkingbrake(

brakeengagedanddonotengagetheparkingbrake
whilethemowerismoving.
Thislightilluminateswhentheparkingbrakeisengaged
andtheignitionkeyisturnedtopositionI.

ServiceBrake
Servicebrakingisachievedbythehydraulictransmission
system.Whentheforwardorreversetravelpedalsare
releasedortheenginespeedreduced,servicebraking
becomeseffectiveandtravelspeedisautomatically
reduced.Toincreasethebrakingeffect,pushthe
transmissionpedalintotheneutralposition.Service
brakingiseffectiveonthefrontwheelsonly.
WARNING
Theservicebrakingsystemwillnotholdthemower
atastandstill.ALWAYSensuretheparkingbrakeis
engagedtoparkthemoweratastandstill.
EmergencyBrake
Intheeventofservicebrakefailure,turntheignitionoff
tobringthemowertoastandstill.
WARNING
Takecarewhenusingtheemergencybraking.
Remainseatedandholdontothesteeringwheel
topreventejectionfromthemowercausedbythe
frontwheelbrakesbeingappliedsuddenlywhen
travelling.
ThrottleControl
Operatethethrottlecontrolinaforwarddirectionto
increasetheenginespeed.Operatethethrottlecontrol
inarearwarddirectiontoreduceenginespeed(Figure7).
Note:Theenginespeeddictatesthespeedoftheother
functions,i.e.travel,cuttingcylinderrotationspeedand
cutterheadliftspeed.
