Important:Youmustbleedthefuelsystembefore
startingtheengineifyouarestartingtheenginefor
thersttime,theenginehasstoppedduetolack
offuel,oryouhaveperformedmaintenanceonthe
fuelsystem;refertoBleedingtheFuelSystem.

Beforestartingtheenginecheckthat:

Precautionssectioninthismanual.
Theareaisclearofbystanders.
Thecutterheaddriveisdisengaged.
Theparkingbrakeisengaged.
Thetravelcontrolpedalsareinneutral.
Important:ThismachineisttedwithanEngine
startlockout,refertoOPERATORPRESENCE
CONTROLS.
StartingaColdEngine
1.Sitontheseat,keepyourfootoffofthetraction
pedalssothatitisinNeutral,engagetheparking
brakeandsetthethrottletothe70percentfull
throttleposition.
2.TurntheignitionkeytotheignitiononpositionI
andcheckthattheengineoilpressureandbattery
chargewarninglightsilluminate.
3.TurntheignitionkeytothepreheatpositionIIso
thatthepre-heatindicatorlightison.Holditfor5
secondstoheattheglowplugs.
4.Afterpreheatingtheglowplugs,turnkeytothestart
positionIIIandholdtocranktheengine.
Cranktheenginefornolongerthan15seconds.
ReleasetheignitionkeybacktopositionIwhenthe
enginestarts.
5.Runtheengineatlowidlespeeduntilitwarmsup.

ReleasetheignitionkeybacktopositionIwhenthe
enginestarts.
4.Runtheengineatlowidlespeeduntilitwarmsup.
StoppingtheEngine
1.MoveallcontrolstoNeutral,settheparkingbrake,
movethethrottletothelowidlepositionandallow
theenginetoreachlowidlespeed.
Important:Allowtheenginetoidlefor5
minutesbeforeshuttingitoffafterafullload
operation.Failuretodosomayleadtotrouble
onaturbo-chargedengine.
