Beforeyouchecktheslope,inatethefrontandrear
tirestotherecommendedairpressure;refertoChecking
theTirePressure.Ifthefrontofthemowerisnotwithin
4to11mm(1/8to3/8inch)lowerthantherearofthe
mower,adjustthebladeslope.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Disengagetheblades(PTO).
3.Settheparkingbrake.
4.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
5.Removetheignitionkey.
6.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.
7.Movethelowerpinofthefrontadjustment
suspensionintothebottompositionoftheslotted
holesbyadjustingthe2nuts(M12)onthefront
suspension(
Figure41).
8.Movetheheight-of-cutlevertoposition1.

1.Disengagetheblades(PTO).
2.Settheparkingbrake.
3.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
4.Removetheignitionkey.
5.Removethegrasscollectorandcleanit;referto
GrassCollector.
6.Removegrassclippings,dirt,andgrimefromthe
externalpartsoftheentiremachine,especiallythe
engine.Cleanthedirtandchafffromtheoutsideof
theenginecylinderheadnsandblowerhousing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachinewith
amilddetergentandwater.Donotuse
pressurizedliquidstowashthemachine.
Pressurizedliquidsmaydamagetheelectrical
systemorwashawaynecessarygreaseatthe
frictionpoints.Avoidusingwaterexcessively,
especiallynearthecontrolpanel,lights,engine,
andbattery.
7.Checkthebrake;refertoBrake.
8.Servicetheaircleaner;refertoServicingtheAir
Cleaner.
9.Greasethechassis;refertoGreasingandLubricating
theMachine.
10.Changetheengineoilandlter;refertoServicing
theEngineOil.
11.Checkthetirepressure;refertoCheckingtheTire
Pressure.
12.Whenstoringthemachineover30days,prepareit
asfollows:
A.Addapetroleum-basedstabilizer/conditionerto
thefuelinthetankaccordingtotheinstructions
fromthestabilizermanufacturer.Donot
useanalcohol-basedstabilizer(ethanolor
methanol).
Note:Afuelstabilizer/conditionerismost
effectivewhenmixedwithfreshgasolineand
usedatalltimes.
B.Runtheenginefor5minutestodistributethe
conditionedfuelthroughthefuelsystem.
