Important:Stopthethirdcut2.5to5.0cm
(1to2inches)fromthenotchtoformahinge
betweenthecuts(Figure18),whichkeeps
thetreefromfallinginthewrongdirection
ortwistingasitfalls.
Note:Asthebackcutnearsthehinge(Figure
18),thetreeshouldbegintofall.
7.Whenthetreebeginstofall,removethechain
saw,shutitoff,putitdown,andretreatalongthe
pathyoudeterminedinstep2.
Important:Ifthetreebeginstofallinan
undesireddirection,immediatelystopthe
cut,shutoffthechainsaw,putthechainsaw
down,anduseanon-metallicwedgetoopen
thebackcutandpushthetreeinthedesired
direction.
