Note:Whenadjustingreeltobedknifeorgrinding/backlapping,cuttingunit
assemblymustbeattachedtotractionunitorframexture.
Thedualpointadjust(DPA)bedknife-to-reeladjustmentsystemincorporatedin
thiscuttingunitsimpliestheadjustmentprocedureneededtodeliveroptimum
mowingperformance.Thepreciseadjustmentpossiblewiththisdesigngives
thenecessarycontroltoprovideacontinualself-sharpeningaction.Thisfeature
maintainssharpcuttingedges,assuresgoodqualityofcutandgreatlyreduces
theneedforroutinebacklapping.
Ifacuttingunitisdeterminedtobeoutofadjustment,completethefollowing
proceduresinthespeciedordertoadjustthecuttingunitproperly.
1.Adjustthebedknifetoreelcontact;refertotheCuttingUnitOperator’s
Manual.
2.Adjustthebedknifeaftergrinding,backlappingordisassembly;refertothe
CuttingUnitOperator’sManual.
3.Adjusttheheight-of-cut;refertotheCuttingUnitOperator’sManual.
4.Adjustthecut-offbar;refertotheCuttingUnitOperator’sManual.
