1.Useapresstoinstallthebearings(7)andspacer(8)intothedrumhub
(10).Packthebearingswithgrease.Filloutsidespaceofthebearingwith
thegrease.
2.Applyacoatofgreasetotheseals(6).Presstheseals(6)intothedrumhub
(1)withitsatsidefacingoutside;refertoFigure30.
3.Applygreasetotheshaftofthedrumspindle(5).Carefullyslidethedrum
spindleintothedrumhubbearings(7).Securethedrumspindleanddrum
hub(1)withaspacer(2)andlocknut(3).Makesurethatthedrumspindle
(5)canmoveaxiallyrelativetothedrumhub(1).
Note:Thelocknut(3)turnshardonthedrumspindle(5)whentightened.
Ensurethatallrotationhasstoppedwhentightening.Agoodsolidsound
indicatesthenutisfulltight.
4.Installthedrumhubplate(4)intothetractiondrum(1)andsecurewith
shoulderbolt(11).
Note:Thetbetweenthedrumhubplate(item4inFigure29)anddrum(1)
isaclosetoleranceandcanbeeasilyjammed.Thehubcanberotatedwhen
seatedproperlyintheboreofthedrum.
5.Securethedrumhubplate(4)tothedrumhub(10)withthe4bolts(2)and
washers(3).Tightentheboltsusinganalternatingpattern.Repeattightening
sequenceasecondtime.
6.Securethedrumhubplate(4)tothedrumspindle(5)withthe4bolts(2)
andwashers(3).Tightentheboltsusinganalternatingpattern.Repeat
tighteningsequenceasecondtime.
