(Figure12).Iftheenginestallsorhesitates,movethe
throttleleverbacktoChokeforafewseconds.Repeat
thisasrequired.
OperatingtheBlades
Thebladecontrolswitch,representedbyapowertake-off
(PTO)symbol,engagesanddisengagespowertothemower
blades.Thisswitchcontrolspowertoanyattachmentsthat
drawpowerfromtheengine,includingthemowerdeckand
cuttingblades.
EngagingtheBlades
Important:Donotengagethebladeswhenparkedin
tallgrass.Beltorclutchdamagecanoccur.
1.Releasepressureonthemotioncontrolleversand
placethemachineinneutral.
2.MovethethrottletotheFastposition.
Note:Alwaysengagethebladeswiththethrottlein
theFastposition.
3.Pulluponthebladecontrolswitchtomoveittothe
Onpositionandengagetheblades(
Figure14).
