1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO).
3.Engagetheparkingbrake.
4.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
5.Makesurethattheengineisshutoff,level,andiscool,
sothattheoilhashadtimetodrainintothesump.
6.Tokeepdirt,grassclippings,etc.,outoftheengine,
cleantheareaaroundtheoil-llcapanddipstickbefore
removingit(Figure37).
7.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
