If your Toro Lawn Mower is operating hot, it could be due to debris buildup around the transaxle; clean off any debris. An incorrect brake setting can also cause overheating, so adjust the brake to the proper setting. A damaged cooling fan should be repaired or replaced. Check the oil level, as low or contaminated oil can lead to overheating; fill to the proper level or change the oil. Reduce vehicle loading. Finally, air trapped in the hydraulic system can cause the unit to run hot, so you may need to purge the hydraulic system.
