23. Remove the cotter pin retaining the spring anchor
plate to the brake arm and remove the spring anchor
plate (Fig. 470).

21. Slowly lower the transaxle away from the frame (Fig.

22. Remove the hairpin cotter retaining the hydro by-
pass arm to the transaxle and remove the bypass
arm (Fig. 469).
