PRINTING FROM WINDOWS APPLICATIONS
[Device Settings] tab
Allows you to configure options. When using an optional device, you need to configure the device on the [Device
Settings] tab.
To open the [Device Settings] tab, you must access the printer driver properties from the [Devices and Printers] folder
(Windows Vista/Windows Server 2008: [Printers] folder). For more details, see the following page:
P.78 “Setting optional devices manually”
Item Name Description
1 Model Sets the model type.
2 Option Sets whether or not optional devices are installed.
3 Drawers Sets whether or not the Paper Feed Unit (2nd drawer), Paper Feed Pedestal (3rd
drawer), Drawer Module (4th drawer), or Large Capacity Feeder is installed.
4 Finisher Sets whether or not the Finisher is installed.
5 Hole Punch Unit Sets whether or not the Hole Punch Unit is installed.
6 External LCF Sets whether or not the External Large Capacity Feeder is installed.
7 Inserter Unit Select when the Inserter Unit is installed.
8 Automatic Duplexing Unit Select when the Automatic Duplexing Unit is installed.
9 Harddisk Select when the Hard Disk is installed.
10 [Drawer Settings] Sets the paper size and paper type of each drawer.
11 [Account Settings] Sets whether or not the user management setting is enabled. You can also set
whether or not the Private Print Restriction function and Hold Print Restriction
function are enabled.
12 [Customization] Sets options specific to PCL6 or PostScript, or changes the Plug-in settings or
the printer driver language.
13 [Version Information] Displays the [Version Information] dialog box.
14 Device Settings Retrieval Enables SNMP communication between this equipment and your computer to
retrieve configuration information.
15 [Restore Defaults] Restores the equipment's settings on the [Device Settings] tab menu to the
default settings.
