This chapter describes installation and wiring of DPCS emulator I/O system component.
This component has superior environment resistance. However, to improve the reliability of
the product and make use of the functions fully, check the following precautions before
installation.
Precautions on installation
CAUTION
•
When installing the device and module, observe the installation conditions
described in this manual.
•
Otherwise, the specified performance may not be maintained.
•
Install the device in a place where maintenance and inspection are easy.

Otherwise, recovery upon failure may be difficult.
•
Place the input-output signal lines and transmission lines away from the
power line or equipment generating magnetic and electric fields.
・
Otherwise, malfunction or failure of the device may occur due to noise.
Installation environment
Installation location
When using the I/O system components stored in a housing, avoid the following places.
z Place with ambient temperature outside the range of 0 to 55°C
(When a housing is used for storage, ambient temperature is the temperature inside the
housing.)
z Place with relative humidity outside the range of 10 to 90%
z Place with condensation due to rapid temperature changes
z Place with vibrations or shocks over tolerance
z Place with corrosive gases or flammable gases
Do not install it in a place with sulfurous acid gas of 0.05ppm or more or hydrogen sulfide
of 0.01ppm or more.
z Place with dust, salt, and iron powder
z Place with a direct sunlight
Storage housing
When storing the components in a housing, note the following.
z Install the storage housing away from the housing for high voltage and power as much as
possible.
z If high-frequency equipment or high-frequency facility exists, make sure the storage
housing is grounded.
z When the channel base is shared with other housing, make sure there is no leak current
from other housing or storage equipment.
