Connect FG of the terminal block and shield of the input-output cable to the dedicated
grounding.
Avoid 2-point grounding of the shielded lines of the various input-output signal wiring cables
such as analog input/output and digital input/output. Otherwise malfunction of the module
may occur depending on the installation environment.
Connect the ground to the dedicated class D grounding line. Connect the ground wire to the
ground in the shortest path without looping. Do not connect any other device to the dedicated
grounding line.
Base unit installation
The weight of the base unit is about 5kg. When installing it to the housing, two people must
work together to avoid dropping it on the ground or feet. The base unit has 4 mounting holes.
Secure it tightly with M4 screws.
Cable wiring
System power supply cable
Insert the 24V power cable from VPSUX1 to the power connector "SYS" of ULCU12. Insert
it fully until it clicks.
MV power supply cable
Insert the 24V power cable from VPSUX3 to the power connector "MV" of ULCU12. Insert
it fully until it clicks.
CAUTION
•
Separate the 24V system power supply and MV power supply 24V (i.e.
separate power supplies).

Otherwise, an error may occur in module operation depending on the installation
environment.

Do not ground the 24V system power supply and MV power supply 24V
common signal (0V)

Otherwise, an error may occur in module operation depending on the installation
environment.
Serial bus cable
Remove the screws of the terminal block. Secure the crimp contact of the serial bus cable by
using the screws.
