Trane BAYSENS924 Thermostat
Wendy’s Operator Guide
Intended Audience: Restaurant Operators and Crew
Intended Purpose: Instruct operators on how to use the new Trane thermostat.
The restaurant has a new and improved thermostat providing greater comfort for crew and customers.
This document is based on having the unit programmed and set up by a trained technician or
maintenance staff.
Recommendations:
1. We strongly recommend having a maintenance password set on the thermostats to minimize
the chance of having the thermostat settings changed inadvertently. The maintenance
password controls access to the programming while the manager password controls access to
the temperature override.
2. The operator should determine if they want a manager password for the thermostat to
minimize the temporary overrides that may occur.
3. No programming is needed by the crew once the operating hours are programmed into the unit
by the maintenance team and/or contractor.
4. The thermostat will pre-heat or pre-cool the kitchen and dining room prior to the manager or
first crew member arriving.
5. The thermostat is programmed for night set back based on the drive through closing and
completion of the clean up.
6. The crew can raise or lower the pre-programmed temperature by 3 degrees in the kitchen or
dining room. The HVAC unit will respond and adjust the temperature for a one (1) hour period.
This override time period can be increased or decreased by a simple reprogramming by the
maintenance team.
