Series F1 & F2 Rental AHU
Controls
Rental AHU's with the F1 & F2 designator come equipped
with either a single or dual Trane TR2 VFD(s) (Figure 30)
moun
ted in a control cabinet inside the unit. The VFD(s)
are controlled by using a single digital potentiometer
(Figure 31) that is located in a weatherproof b
ox mounted
on the exterior of the unit, just above the disconnect. The
digital potentiometer is used to manually increase or
decreased the fan speed of the unit. For adjustment
purposes, the number ‘0000’ on the Digital Potentiometer
represents the minimum fan setting 20 Hz, while ‘1000’
represents 100% nominal air flow.

Series F0 Rental AHU Controls
Rental AHU's with the F0 designator come equipped with
a Trane MP-580 controller (Figure 32) and Trane TR-1 VFD
(Figure 33) mounted in a control cabinet inside the unit.
The controll
er is accessed by opening the external control
cabinet door with an emergency stop button.
The unit control program can be accessed using a laptop
computer
with the Rover
®
service tool software or the
unit-mounted stand alone display. The stand alone display
is mounted in a sealed cabinet on the front of the unit next
to the external disconnect (Figure 34). The operator
display to
uch screen is an intuitive operator interface for
monitoring and changing unit control functions. With the
operator display you can:

Choose between “constant volume” or “VAV.”
Choose specific air flow within specified range.
Monitor space temperature, air flow, filter status, etc.
Identify and troubleshoot problems.
View and reset controller alarms.
