SYMPTOM POSSIBLE CAUSES ACTION
Cannot change system mode to
desired setting.
Equipment is not configured properly. Check the standard installer set up screen to ensure
equipment is properly configured.
Screen does not respond
properly to a button press
1) Screen is out of calibration.
2) Internal 1050 Control fault
3) Screen Lock has been enabled
1) Remove 1050 Control from sub base and reset.
Follow the calibration instructions when the 1050
Control reboots.
2) Remove 1050 Control from sub base and reset.
3) Press and hold the Menu button for 5 seconds to
override screen lock.
Screen goes blank after a period
time of inactivity
Screen Saver mode set to “Black” which turns
of screen back light after a user selected time of
inactivity.
Normal operation. User may change screen saver from
“Black” to “Indoor Temperature” or increase the time
before screen saver is activated.
Zoning enable option is not
available in the Installer Settings.
Zone Panel is either not installed or installed but
not communicating.
Install Zone Panel or verify wiring to Zone Panel.
Zoning has been disabled and
the system is operating as a non-
zoned system
A system alert has occurred which disabled
zoning but allows non-zoned operation.
Check for system alerts in the Diagnostics > Current
Alerts screen.
Time set on 1050 Control
changes every 24 hours.
1050 Control is connected to Trane Home and
the time zone set on Trane Home account is
incorrect.
Correct the time zone set on Trane Home account.
