Why is the heart rate monitor not working on my True Treadmill?

  If the heart rate display on your True Treadmill is erratic or non-existent, first ensure the transmitter belt is making full contact with your skin. Readjust the belt if needed. Also, moisten the contacts on the transmitter belt. Make sure the transmitter belt is within 3 feet (1 meter) of the console. If the issue persists, the battery inside the transmitter belt may be depleted, try replacing it with a compatible one. Finally, another user nearby might be using a compatible transmitter strap, move the units further apart.

How to fix a rubbing sound on my True Treadmill?

  If you notice a rubbing sound from your True Treadmill during operation, it could be due to several reasons. First, the walking belt might be rubbing against a straddle cover; in this case, adjust the belt tracking. Another possibility is a foreign object stuck under the walking belt; inspect and remove any debris you find. If these steps don't resolve the issue, it could be a foreign object in the motor compartment, damaged roller bearings, a damaged drive motor, or a misaligned drive belt. In these cases, contact True Fitness Customer Service Department.

  Environmental interference from high voltage power lines, computers, motor-driven appliances, cell or cordless phones, or Wi-Fi routers can cause erratic heart rate readings on your True Treadmill. Try moving the treadmill to another location in the room or moving the source of interference. If the interference is from a device plugged into the same outlet, try moving it to a different outlet.
