6.4 Replacement of Spider in Coupling
The spider (made of rubber) is used between the pump head and the motor. It is recommended
that it be checked once a year and replaced if found defective. If the pump is started and
stopped hundreds of times per day, it is necessary to check it within a shorter time. To remove
the spider, please remove the 4 bolts, which time the coupling, will be visible.
To have the pump reassembled after overhauling, fit the spider to the coupling, (as shown by
Fig-9), adjust the direction of indented part of the pump head (female) and that of the motor
(male), fit them tightly together, and tighten the bolts firmly to the motor.
