5. Operation
This section describes how to operate this product.
5.1. Pre-operation check
Check the following before energizing the EB power supply.
In addition, be sure to perform the first test in the LOCAL operation mode.
1) Input power supply check
Check that the three-phase input power supply is OFF.
2) Power supply equipment check
Check that all three supplied INPUT cables are securely connected to your fuse box. At the same
time, check that the all three phases are correctly connected. In addition, check that the connector
side of the INPUT cable is securely connected to the EB power supply without looseness.
Check whether the current capacity of your fuse box or circuit breaker is 100 A or more.
3) Earth check
Check that the system earth terminal of the equipment on the loading side is grounded with a
ground resistance of 10Ω or less (The electrical equipment technical standards, Article 18: Class
A Grounding). (See Fig. 3.1.)
4) Earth line check
Check that the supplied EARTH GUN GND cable is securely connected between the EARTH
terminal of the EB power supply and the system earth terminal of the loading equipment without
looseness.
In addition, check that the connection does not go through the relay terminals.
Be sure to connect the EARTH GUN GND cable. If not connected, the power supply may be
damaged.
For the EARTH GUN GND cable, be sure to connect EARTH GUN GND terminal ( EB power
supply main unit) directly to the system earth terminal of the loading equipment. Never do the
wiring which goes through the relay terminal.
