POWER BOWL LIFT SLIDE & FRAME INSTALLATION:
17. Grease the sliding surfaces of the slide and frame. See lubrication instructions on page 2.5.
18. Screw the lead screw into the floating nut and push the slide to the bottom of the slide frame so
that the lead screw does not protrude through the hole in the frame.
19. Place the collar [7] and then the thrust washer [8] on the end of the lead screw. Push the slide and
lead screw up so the lead screw protrudes through the hole in the slide frame.

up against the slide frame and tighten the two set screws in the collar against the flats on the lead
screw.
22. Lift the slide assembly into the mixer housing and place the assembly on the weld studs. Install
the eight flat washers and lock nuts on the weld studs and tighten them evenly to 15 foot-pounds.
23. Install the bowl support assembly per the instructions on page 4.1.
24. Install the bracket [16] on the gearbox [5] with the 5/16-18 hex head cap screws [14] and lock
washers [15] and tighten the screws securely.
25. Insert the key in the keyway on the motor shaft and line it up with the keyway in the gearbox and
slide the motor shaft into the gearbox. Install the four 3/8-16 hex head screws [3] and lock
washers [2] and tighten them securely.
26. Install the key in the output shaft of the gearbox and line the keyway in the drive sprocket [6]
with the key and install the drive sprocket on the gearbox.
27. Install the gearbox assembly on the weld studs in the mixer housing and loosely install the
washers [12 & 13] (3/8 flat washer first) and the four 5/16-18 Kep nuts [11].
28. Install the drive belt per the instructions in section 2, Mechanics Maintenance “BELT
REPLACEMENT” instructions on page 2.2 and adjust the belt as necessary.
29. Slide the gearbox all the way toward the front of the mixer housing and install the chain [10].
30. Align the front and rear sprockets by moving the drive sprocket [6] on the gearbox up or down
and tighten the two set screws in the drive sprocket.
31. Slide the gearbox back toward the rear of the mixer to tighten the chain and tighten the nuts[11].
32. Install the motor leads on the contactor and ground stud.
