REMOTE CONTROL
TheT1Ecomeswitharemotecontrol.Youcanusethisremotetocontrolvariousfunctionsof
theT1E.Inaddition,someuniversalremotessupporttheVanatooremotecontrolcommands.
Checkyouruniversalremote’sdevicecompatibilitylisttoseeiftheVanatooproductsare
included.
1) Auto Command—WhentheAutoCommandissenttheT1EamplierenablestheAuto
InputSwitchingalgorithmandautomaticallyselectstheinputtoplayaccordingtothe
AutoInputSwitchingrules.
2) Analog, USB, Bluetooth, Optical Coax Commands—WheneithertheAnalog,USB,
Bluetooth,OpticalorCoaxinputselectioncommandsaresent,theT1Eamplierwilldisable
theAutoInputSwitchingalgorithmandswitchtheinputtotheinputthatwasselected.This
providesameansfortheusertoselectaninputregardlessofthehierarchyoftheAutoInput
Switchalgorithm.Howeveritcanresultinauserselectinganinputthatisnotreceivingmusic
whichwillresultinthespeakersbeingsilent.Ifforexamplemusicisbeingreceivedbythe
Bluetoothreceiverandnomusicisbeingreceivedbytheopticalinput,theniftheuserselects
“Optical”fromtheremotecontroltheresultwillbethatnomusicwillbeheardfromthe
speakers.
3)Mute Command—WhentheMutecommandissenttotheT1Etheoutputwillbemuted.
Iftheamplierisalreadymutedthenitwillbeunmuted.
4)Vol+ and Vol- Commands—WhentheVol+orVol-commandsaresenttheT1Eamplier
willeitherincreaseordecreasetheoutputvolumedependingonwhichkeyisdepressed.
Ifoneofthekeysishelddowntherateatwhichthevolumeischangedwillacceleratethe
longerthekeyisheld.Iftheamplierismutedwhenoneofthevolumecommandsissentthe
amplierwillbeunmuted.
5)Enable Command—WhentheEnablecommandissenttheT1Eamplierwillstartan
“EnableKey”15secondcountdowntimer.Duringthat15secondstheamplierwillrespond
totheBTPaircommands,Treblecommands,andBasscommands.Anycommandsreceived
fromtheBTPair,Treblecommands,orBasscommandsduringthe15secondswillcausethe
15secondcountdowntimertoberesetto15secondsandrestartthecountdownaswellas
executingtherequestedactionasdescribedbelow.
6)BT Pair Command—Ifthe15secondenabletimerisgreaterthanzero,theBTPair
commandwillforcetheBluetoothreceivertothepairingmode.Thiswillalsodisconnect
anydevicescurrentlyconnectedtotheBluetoothreceiver.DepressingtheBTPairbutton
ontheremotealsowillresettheEnablecountdowntimerto15secondsandrestartthe
countdown.
7)Treb+, Treb Mid, Treb- Commands—Ifthe15secondenabletimerisgreaterthanzero,
theTreb+orTreb-commandwillincreaseordecreasethetrebletonecontrolby1dB.
HoldingtheTreb+orTreb-remotecontrolkeydownwillnotcontinuetoincreaseor
decreasethetreblesettingbymorethan1dB.Tomovethetreblesettingmorethan1dB
theremotecontrolkeymustbereleasedanddepressedagain.Forexample,iftheuser
wantstoincreasethetreblesettingby3dBhemustpressandreleasetheTreb+remote
button3consecutivetimes.Ifthe15secondenabletimerisgreaterthanzero,theTrebMid
commandwillsetthetrebletonecontrolto0dB.DepressinganyoftheTrebbuttonsonthe
remotewillalsoresettheEnablecountdowntimerto15secondsandrestartthecountdown.
8)Bass+, Bass Mid, Bass- Commands—Ifthe15secondenabletimerisgreaterthan
zero,theBass+orBass-commandwillincreaseordecreasethebasstonecontrolby
1dB.HoldingtheBass+orBass-remotecontrolkeydownwillnotcontinuetoincrease
ordecreasetheBasssettingbymorethan1dB.Tomovethebasssettingmorethan
1dBtheremotecontrolkeymustbereleasedanddepressedagain.Forexample,ifthe
userwantstoincreasethebasssettingby3dBhemustpressandreleasetheBass+
remotebutton3consecutivetimes.Ifthe15secondenabletimerisgreaterthanzero,
theBassMidcommandwillsetthebasstonecontrolto0dB.Depressinganyofthe
BassbuttonsontheremotewillalsoresettheEnablecountdowntimerto15seconds
andrestartthecountdown.
9)Fn1 Command—WhentheFn1commandisreceivedbytheT1Ereceiverthecommand
willbeignoredandnoactionwillbetaken.Thiscommandisreservedforfutureuse.
