An external tape library uses the standard initiator mode driver over Fibre Channel
(FC), not NetBackup FT. Therefore, if you duplicate backup images from a tape
library to a NetBackup 5020 deduplication appliance, traffic occurs as follows:
■ FC between the tape library and the 52xx or 53xx appliance.
■ FT between the 52xx or 53xx appliance and the 50xx deduplication appliance.
