2. Assembling the Valve
Step 1 (Screw in the tappet)
Screw in the tappet using the MDT 327 - Multi-
Function Tool (as shown) or the MDT 310 -
Tappet Changing Tool (torque 100-140 cN.m).
IMPORTANT NOTE!
Do not break the tappet!
Step 2a (Mount the Tappet Sealing LX)
Place the Tappet Sealing LX on a flat surface
(wide side down). Press the wide end of the
MDT 303 - Nozzle Insert Changing Tool onto the
Tappet Sealing LX.
Push the MDT 303 with the Tappet Sealing LX
carefully onto the tappet, until the Tappet
Sealing LX sits tight.
Remove the MDT 303 from the tappet.
Step 2b (Mount the Tappet Sealing
PE/PTFE/HT and Tappet Centering Piece)
Push the wider side of the Tappet Sealing
PE/PTFE/HT onto the thinner pin of the MDT
328 - Tappet Sealing Changing Tool.
Push the MDT 328 together with the Tappet
Sealing PE/PTFE/HT straight into the bore of the
fluid box. You will hear a light “click” when the
tappet sealing sits tight in the fluid box.
Remove the MDT 328 from the fluid box.
Press the tappet centering piece into bore of
the fluid box. Use the thinner side of the MDT
328 or the wider side of the MDT 323. Make
sure the tappet centering piece rests flat.
