Using Directory

Chapter 2: BASIC CALL HANDLING
To assign a Station Speed Dial number directly to a Flex button:
1. Press TRANS/PGM,
2. Press the desired Flex button,
3. Dial '1' for Number,
4. Select/dial the CO/IP line/group,
5. Dial the desired number,
6. Press HOLD/SAVE,
7. Enter the associated name if desired, using the Character Entry chart,
8. Press HOLD/SAVE.
To program a System Speed Dial number Attendant Only
1. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button.
2. Press the [SPEED] button.
3. Dial the Speed Dial bin number (2000-4999)
4. Press the Line button or dial the Line access code.
5. Dial the number to be stored.
6. Press the [HOLD/SAVE] button.
7. If desired, enter a name, see alphanumeric entry chart under Station Speed Dial.
8. Press the [HOLD/SAVE] button.
Using Dial by Name and Entering Your Name
Dial by Name employs three different Directories: Private directory (Station Speed dial),
Public Directory (System Speed dial), or Intercom directory.
NOTE: To allow others to contact you via the Intercom directory, you must enter a name for your station
(up to 16 characters).
To use Dial by Name using a [SPEED] button
1. Press the [SPEED] button twice.
2. Dial the desired directory, 1: ICM Name, U: STA SPD Name, S: System Speed Name.
3. Search the directory using the [VOL UP]/[VOL DOWN] button or by entering
characters. See Station Speed Dial for character entry procedure.
4. Press the [HOLD/SAVE] button to place the call.
To use Dial by Name using the LIP-8000 series soft buttons
1. Press the [DIR] soft button.
2. Dial the desired directory, 1: User Speed Dial, 2: System Speed Dial 3: Intercom.
3. Search the directory using the Navigation buttons or by entering two digits for each
character, refer to Station Speed Dial for the Character Entry Chart.
4. Press the [HOLD/SAVE] button to place the call.
