2. INTRODUCTION
The VICI DBS
®
HP Plus Tower produces nitrogen by utilizing a combination of ltration and pressure swing adsorption
(PSA) technology. Standard compressed air is ltered by high efciency coalescing lters to remove all contaminants
down to 5 micron. For ultra sensitive applications such as GC carrier and make-up gas, units also include the additional
heated catalyst module to ensure hydrocarbons are removed to <0.1 ppm. The air then passes through two columns
lled with a proprietary blended carbon molecular sieve (CMS) which adsorbs O
2
, CO
2
and moisture. These are
desorbed to the atmosphere during the pressure swing cycle leaving a supply of ultra pure nitrogen.

SYMBOL DESCRIPTION
General warning. Caution is necessary when operating the device or control
close to where the symbol is placed, or to indicate that the current situation
needs operator awareness or operator action in order to avoid undesirable
consequences.
The manual must be consulted in all cases where this symbol is marked on
the device.
Risk of asphyxia. Caution is necessary when operating the device in a not
sufciently ventilated area.
Oxidant material. Caution is necessary due to the presence of oxidant material.
WEEE symbol. When discard this product, it must be sent to separate collection
facilities for recovery and recycling.
Fuse. Notify replaceable fuse place.
