OPERATION MANUAL
The meter is a high performance, high accuracy, 3 3/4-digit, 32mm digit high by
LCD displaying meter. The function includes DCV, ACV, DCA, ACA,
resistance ,capacitance, frequency, temperatureduty cycle measurement, triode,
diode and continuity test. Also with the function of unit signal displaying ,relative
value measuring ,auto range/ manual range switch ,auto power off and warning
function etc.
SAFETY NOTES
The meter meets with IEC1010standard. Read the notes before operating.
Before measuring, check the test leads carefully.
Do not input a value over allowable limited when measuring to avoid electric
shock meter damage.
Be careful when measuring voltage over DCV60V, ACV40V.
To select correct function.
The test leads should be taken away from the testing point when changing
function.
Never take measurement when the test leads are in current terminal.
Do not try to modify the circuit.

Overview

This document describes a high-performance, high-accuracy 3 3/4-digit multimeter with a 32mm digit LCD display, capable of showing a maximum reading of 3999. It features automatic negative polarity indication and uses a dual-slope integrating A/D converter system for measurements, with a sampling rate of approximately 3 times per second. An "OL" display indicates an over-range condition, and a battery symbol appears when the battery is low.

Operation:

  • Panel Description: LCD display, function keys, knob, temperature jack, VΩHz/mA/COM jacks, battery case.
  • Function Keys:
    • RST: Activates meter from sleep/lock states.
    • Hz/DUTY: Switches between frequency/duty cycle/voltage/current when measuring AC voltage/current or frequency.
    • REL: Clears reading to zero, enters relative value measuring.
    • HOLD: Holds current measurement on LCD; "HOLD" displayed. Press again to exit.
    • Range: Selects auto or manual range.
    • DC/AC: Selects DC/AC mode.
  • Knob: Changes measuring function and range.

Measurement Procedures (General Notes):

  • Always insert black lead to "COM" and red lead to appropriate socket (VΩHz, mA, 20A).
  • Set function switch to desired range.
  • Press DC/AC key for DC/AC mode selection.
  • Connect test leads to the test point.
  • "OL" indicates over-range; switch to a higher range.
  • Do not exceed maximum voltage/current limits.
  • Remove leads from testing point when changing function or range.
  • Be careful when measuring high voltage.
  • For current measurements, if unsure, start with a higher range and adjust down.
  • For resistance, if unsure, start with a higher range. Short-circuit leads and press REL for small resistance measurements.
  • For capacitance, ensure capacitors are fully discharged. Use "REL" to clear zero before measuring. Capacitance range is auto-range only.
  • For hFE, define transistor type (NPN/PNP) and insert into correct holes.
  • For diode test, connect leads according to polarity. "OL" indicates open circuit or bad diode.
  • For continuity test, buzzer sounds for low resistance.
  • For temperature, insert thermocouple into "Temp" socket. "Normal temp." displays if input terminal is open.

Auto Power Off (4-13 Auto power off):

  • Meter auto powers off after 15 minutes of inactivity.
  • Press "POWER AUTO OFF" key twice to turn power on.
  • Press "DC/AC" key before turning on to cancel auto power off.

Maintenance Features:

  • Do not attempt to modify the inner circuit.
  • Do not input voltage over 1000V DC/AC peak value.
  • Do not measure voltage at current, resistance, diode, or buzzer ranges.
  • Do not use the meter if the battery is not replaced or the battery case is not fixed.
  • Before replacing battery or fuse, release test leads and turn power off.
  • Keep the multimeter dry, away from dust and dirt.
  • Use and store in normal temperature environments. Extreme temperatures can shorten life, damage batteries, and distort or melt plastic parts.
  • Handle gently and carefully. Dropping can damage circuit boards and case.
  • Wipe with a damp cloth; do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents.
  • Remove battery if not used for a long time. Replace battery when "battery symbol" displays.
  • Battery/Fuse Replacement: Remove holster, unscrew bottom case, lift bottom case, replace battery/fuse with same type and rating.

Troubleshooting (If meter does not work properly):

  • No Displaying: Check if power is off, HOLD key is active, or battery needs replacement.
  • Battery Symbol Displays: Replace battery.
  • BIG ERROR: Replace battery.
