8.2 CONTACTOR
The contactor (A) is placed on the rear side
of the machine, so it possible to access it
by removing the rear panel, as described in
chapter 3.
It is a relay that enables the heating phase
of the machine. It interrupts the neutral
and the phase and the enabling is estab-
lished by the control unit. In fact, when the
machine is switched ON, the water level is
controlled and, after the positive results, the
contactor is enabled by the control unit.
PROBLEMS
Normally, the contactor makes a character-
istic noise when it closes the circuit, so if you
cannot hear the typical noise, it is possible
that the problem is upstream (level probe)
or with the contactor itself.
REPLACEMENT
To replace the contactor, proceed as it fol-
lows:
Utilizing a Philips screwdriver, remove the
right screw.
Utilizing a Philips screwdriver, loosen the
left screw and pull out the contactor.
Unplug all the cables.
