Self Test Function
To execute a self test, press the test key. The following sequence of tests will be displayed:

RAM TEST OK
If a ROM or RAM error is detected, the display will halt on a ROM or RAM "test failed message". These are fatal system errors
which will prevent further operation of the unit. Should either "failed" message come up, try a reset and self test again to verify
that the ROM or RAM status is accurate.

CAL DATA OK
In the event of a cal data problem, the 944i will indicate that an error has been detected and that it is operating on default cal data.
The unit should be referred to qualified maintenance personnel for calibration and inspection of the CMOS RAM battery, which
has a five-year rating.

The next two messages are provided in the self-test as a configuration status indication. For details on the other configuration
options, consult the system configuration instructions in this section of the manual.

To conduct an output test, press enter. Select the no option if you do not desire an output system test.
The final self-test message is:

If a printout of the self-test results are desired and the 944i is connected to a compatible parallel printer, highlight the print option
and press the enter key.
