Steering actuator fault
Reason: Fault in steering system. The following list display what possible could be the reason.
Memory fault.
Incompatible software
ECU temperature too high.
Internal ECU fault.
Fault in Steering servo motor voltage
Steering servo motor failure
Fault in Rudder angle sensor reading
Rudder angle sensor reading High
Fault in port/starboard Solenoid
Regulator fault.
Symptom: Steering not available.
Gear automatically set to neutral and engien speed reduced.
Action: Regain propulsion by moving lever to neutral.
Contact Volvo Penta workshop.
Steering wheel failure
Reason: Fault in steering system.
Steering wheel position divergence.
Symptom: Steering not available. Gear automatically set to neutral.
Action: Regain propulsion by moving lever to neutral.
Transmission failure
Reason: Fault in transmission oil pressure.
Transmission oil filter clogged.
Transmission oil temperature too high or too low.
Transmission oil temperature sensor.
Gear actuator failure.
Symptom: Gear automatically set to neutral and engine speed reduced.
Engine emergency stopped.
Action: Regain propulsion by moving lever to neutral.
Transmission Oil Level
Reason: Oil level too high or Oil level too low.
Action: If low add 0.5 liter, if too high drain 0.5 liter oil.
VMM failure
Reason: Fault in ECU or incompatible software.
Action: Contact a Volvo Penta workshop.
Voltage high
Reason: Fault in helm control unit.
Action: Contact a Volvo Penta workshop.
Voltage low
Reason: Fault in hemlm control unit.
Action: Contact a Volvo Penta workshop.
Air filter obstruction
Reason: The air filter is clogged.
Symptom: Engine performance is affected.
Action: The engine needs service soon. Contact a Volvo Penta workshop.
