Alphabetical search
1. Follow the steps in “Review the
directory entries” to enter the
directory.
2. Use the dialing keys to enter the letter
associated with the name.
• For example, if you have entries
for Jenny, Jessie, Kristen and Laura
in your directory, press 5 (JKL)
once to see Jenny (when Jenny
displays, press ▼ to see Jessie),
twice to see Kristen, or three times
to see Laura. If there is no name
entry matching your search, the
next closest match in alphabetical
order appears. If necessary, press
▼or ▲ to browse.
Dial a directory entry
1. Search for the desired entry in the
directory (see “Review the directory
entries” or “Alphabetical search”).
2. Press or to dial.
Edit a directory entry
1. Search for the desired entry in the
directory (see “Review the directory
entries” or “Alphabetical search”).
2. When the desired entry displays,
press to select.
3. Use the dialing keys to edit the
number, and then press to
select.
4. Use the dialing keys to edit the name,
and then press to save.
• You hear a confirmation tone.
Delete a directory entry
1. Search for the desired entry in the
directory (see “Review the directory
entries” or “Alphabetical search”).
2. When the desired entry displays,
press to delete.
• The screen displays Delete entry?
3. Press to select and confirm.
• The handset screen displays
Deleting....
• You hear a confirmation tone.
Caller ID
Review the caller ID log
Review the caller ID log to find out who
called, to return the call, or to copy the
caller’s name and number into your
directory.
1. Press when the phone is not in
use.
• The screen displays the first entry
in the caller ID log.
2. Press ▼/▲ to browse.
Save a caller ID log entry to
the directory
1. Search for the desired caller ID log
entry (see “Review the caller ID log”).
2. When the desired entry displays,
press to select.
3. Press to choose To Directory.
• The screen displays Enter number.
• Use the dialing keys to edit the
number, if necessary.
4. Press to move to the name.
• The screen displays Enter name.
• Use the dialing keys to add or edit
the name.
5. Press when done.
• You hear a confirmation tone.
While entering names and numbers
• Press ▼/▲ to move the cursor to the
left or right.
• Press on the cordless handset
or DELETE X on the telephone base
to erase a digit.
• Press and hold to erase all
digits.
• Press and hold to enter a
dialing pause (a p appears).
• Press to add a space.
Save a caller ID log entry to
call block list
1. Search for the desired caller ID log
entry (See “Review call block list”).
2. When the desired entry displays,
press to select.
3. Press ▼/▲ to scroll to To Call block,
and then press to select.
• The screen displays Enter
Number.
• Use the dialing keys to edit the
number, when necessary.
4. Press to proceed to entering
name.
• The screen displays Enter name.
• Use the dialing keys to add or edit
the name.
5. Press when done.
• You hear a confirmation tone.
