The following chart shows malfunctions, their possible causes and remedies.

DANGER
Danger to life from own attempts at troubleshooting.
Contact the manufacturer if this machine has a malfunction not described in this
manual. Do not attempt to rectify malfunctions yourself.
Malfunction Possible causes Remedy
Machine not running. Power cable defective. Replace power cable if defective.*
Bearing defective. Repair machine.*
Control lamp (optional) does
not light up.
Power cable defective. Replace power cable if defective.*
Control lamp defective. Repair machine.*
Machine overheated – caused by
bearing damage.
Repair machine.*
Fault in current source. Check electric power supply – if
malfunction not corrected, repair
machine.*

Indicator light doesn't light up.
Mains voltage is applied.
The Bodyguard® turned off the
machine.
Machine error.
1. Pull plug out of plug receptacle.
2. Check connection cable for
damages – replace in case of
damage.*
3. Insert plug into plug receptacle.If
the fault is not remedied, have
the machine repaired.*
Water in the converter.
Defect in the oscillating body.
Have the machine repaired.*
Indicator light doesn't light up. No mains voltage. 1. Pull plug out of plug receptacle.
Check connection cable for
damages – have machine repaired
in case of damage.*
Bodyguard® defective. Have the machine repaired.*
