5.5 Impeller Inspection

5.5.1 Visually inspect impeller (w) for corrosion, wear or damage. Worn
impellers compromise peak performance.
5.5.2 Visually inspect impeller key and rotor shaft keyway for signs of
uneven wear.
5.5.3 Visually inspect volute (aa) casting for cracks, wear and damage. Look
for signs of wear on volute.
