5.1 Periodic Maintenance Schedule
The table below lists basic machine and engine maintenance. Tasks
designated with check marks may be performed by the operator. Tasks
designated with square bullet points require special training and equipment.
Refer to the engine owner’s manual for additional information.
* Change more often in dusty conditions. Refer to engine manufacturer’s manual.

Check condition and tension on fan belt.
Change oil in engine crankcase.*
Change engine oil filter.
Change fuel filter
Clean engine cooling fins.
Check valve clearance.
Tighten fittings and clean injectors
Replace fan belt.

Open pump housing cover and remove any
debris from inside of pump housing.

Check oil level in seal housing. Fill to cor-
rect level.

Check bearing/seal housing for oil or water
leaks.

Check oil level in bearing housing.
Drain water from water separator in fuel line.
Change oil in seal housing.
Change oil in bearing housing.
Check coupling bolt tightness.
