The pump impeller might be partially clogged with tar or paint, causing the motor to run slowly and overload. Alternatively, the fuse or circuit breaker might be too small; it should be 15 amps. Also, check if the impeller or volute openings are clogged and need cleaning.

  If your Water Ace Water Pump runs and pumps out the sump but doesn't stop, the float may be stuck in the up position. Ensure the float operates freely in the basin. Also, consider replacing the float switch (RSMA) for R2SA, R3S and R5S-1, or replacing it with a vertical switch RVS for R3V and R5V.
