A/C System Charge
Charge the system using the chart below:
Coolant System:
62. Start the engine and monitor the coolant level, add as necessary. Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendation
for coolant type.
NOTE: The A/C button must be OFF for the pump to activate.
63. Turn the blower on and request maximum heat.
64. Using the vehicle’s coolant overflow cap and the system’s bleeder valve, release trapped air from the system.
65. After all the air has been removed from the system, fill the reservoir to the proper level.
66. While monitoring the system for leaks, allow the vehicle to idle until the engine reaches normal operating
temperature.
67. Allow the vehicle to cool to a safe level.
68. Re-torque all hose clamps to 40 in. lbs. +/- 5% (4.5 Nm +/- 5%) and inspect for leaks.
69. Pressure test the coolant system per the manufacturer’s instructions and inspect for leaks.
70. Reinstall all interior panels and components that were removed unless otherwise instructed in this manual.
