9.5.2 Cleaning instructions
Requirements for cleaning the appliance
▪ The appliance has been cooled down correctly.
▪ No food has been left in the cavity.
▪ All containers, baking sheets, shelf grills and any other accessories have been removed from the cavity.
Cleaning process
Cleaning oven and oven parts
1.
Open the appliance door and remove the cook plate and any other
cooking accessories from the cavity.
NOTE: You can at this stage also remove the air filter to wash it with
the other parts (see steps 12-13 for instructions on how to remove
the air filter) or you can remove and clean the air filter later (steps 12-
17).
CAUTION: Wear protective glasses and protective rubber gloves
during the cleaning procedure.

Wash the removed cook plate and oven accessories in warm soapy
water.
Wash off using a clean cloth and plenty of clean, warm water.
Dry all components using a fresh, clean cloth.
3.
Remove any spillages with suitable cloth or paper towel.
Use a dry clean brush to remove any food particles from between the
cavity floor and the inside of the front door.
4.
Carefully spray cleaning chemical approved by Merrychef
®
onto a
sponge.
Clean all surfaces of the cavity except the roof (jet plate) and door
seal.
NOTICE:
Do not spray directly into the cavity.
Do not use cleaning chemicals or oven protector on the roof of
the cavity.
Do not use cleaning chemicals or oven protector on the cook
plate.
