Transmitters with “ia” marking may also be used in supply circuits of type “ib” with the same
connection parameters. Thus the entire measuring circuit (including the sensor circuit) is an
“ib” circuit. Transmitters were operated with supply circuits of type “ib” may not be re-used
with supply circuits of type “ia”.
The external wiring shall be suitable for the temperature range (max. 85 °C) of the end-use
application. The conductor cross-section must be a minimum of 0.14 mm².
5.2 Special conditions for safe use (Ex nA)
Transmitter model T15.x-AN providing level of protection Ex nA
Installation in areas requiring EPL Gc (zone 2):
The temperature transmitter model T15.x-AN shall be installed in a suitable case which is
in accordance with EN/IEC 60079-15.
The external wiring shall be suitable for the ambient temperature range of the end use
application. The maximum ambient temperature for T15.x-AN of 85 °C shall be considered.
The minimum cross-section for external wiring is 0.14 mm
