Wi-Fi Direct
Use Wi-Fi Direct to connect directly to other Wi-Fi Direct devices simply via Wi-Fi, without an
access point or via the Internet.
1. From home, swipe up to access Apps, and tap Settings .
2. Tap Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
3. Slide the Wi-Fi switch to the On position.
• Wi-Fi is enabled. You will see the names and security settings of in-range Wi-Fi
networks.
4. Tap Wi-Fi preference on the bottom of the Wi-Fi screen.
5. Tap Advanced > Wi-Fi Direct.
• Wi-Fi Direct and Wi-Fi are available at the same time.
6. Tap a device with which to connect.
a) If connected via Wi-Fi, you will see a confirmation. Follow the onscreen
instructions.
7. Accept the connection on the other device.
The phone is connected via Wi-Fi Direct.
a) If a connection is not accepted after a certain period, the connection request is
canceled.
b) To stop a connection, tap the connected device name, tap OK to confirm
disconnection.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a short-range communications technology that allows you to connect wirelessly to
a number of Bluetooth devices, such as headsets and hands-free car kits, and Bluetooth-
enabled handhelds, computers, printers, and wireless phones. The Bluetooth communication
range is usually approximately 30 feet.
