Troubleshooting | Receiver Issues
• It is possible to lose the connection between the Wireless Joey receiver and the
Wireless Joey Access Point but still have the signal indicator showing a strong signal.
On the remote control, press MENU and select Settings, Network Settings, and
Whole Home. On the Whole-Home screen that displays, verify that the Wireless Joey
receiver is linked to the correct Hopper receiver model. If it is not linked, select the
Hopper receiver model that you want to link to and press SELECT on the remote to link
the two devices.
• If the signal indicator shows a strong signal, reset the Wireless Joey receiver by
pressing and holding its POWER button.
• If the signal indicator shows a weak signal, move the Wireless Joey receiver and the
Wireless Joey Access Point closer together, positioning them into a line of sight as
much as possible.
• If the devices were working and suddenly stopped working, unplug them and power
them back up to reestablish connections.
There Is No Sound
• Check that all connections are hand-tightened.
• Verify that DISH programming is displaying on the Hopper receiver model.
• Connect RCA audio (red and white) cables from the Wireless Joey receiver’s audio
outputs to the TV’s audio inputs. Then change the TV to the correct input for the RCA
connection, and change the settings for the TV on the Wireless Joey receiver to match
the TV’s settings.
