Using Wolverine MovieMaker Pro
The Wolverine Movie Maker Pro will help you convert your old 8mm and Super 8 film into a
digital MPEG-4 movie file at 1080P/20 FPS.
NOTE : A USB Flash Drive is required to save your movie files.
The following is a step-by-step guide that will walk you through how to use the Movie Maker
Pro to convert your 8mm and Super 8 films.
Step by Step Guide
1. Determine which size take-up reel to use. Film reels come in three main sizes: 3 in, 5 in,
and 7 inch. If your film is 3 inches or 5 inches, use the 5 inch take up reel (smaller one). If
your film is on a 7 inch reel, use the 7 inch take up reel (larger one).

Begin Recording Process

Navigate the menu to select 'RECORD' and press ENTER to start the conversion.

Automatic Recording and Troubleshooting

The film records automatically; stop and manually advance if the film sticks.

Stop Recording

Press ENTER to stop the recording process when the film strip ends or manually.

Open Film Tray After Recording

Open the film tray to release the film after the recording process is complete.

Rewind Film to Source Reel

Swap reels and thread the film back onto the source reel for storage.

Initiate Rewind Process

Select 'REWIND' from the menu and press ENTER to start rewinding the film.

Stop Rewind Process

Press ENTER once the film is fully rewound to stop the rewind operation.

Prepare for File Transfer

Turn off the MovieMaker Pro to prepare for transferring converted files to a USB drive.

Eject SD Memory Card

Eject the SD memory card from the MovieMaker Pro's back slot.

Prepare USB Adapter

Insert the SD card into the provided USB adapter.

Transfer Files to Computer

Take the USB adapter and flash drive to a computer for file transfer.

Connect USB Drives to Computer

Insert both the USB adapter (with SD card) and your flash drive into the computer's USB ports.

Open File Explorer and Navigate

Open File Explorer, select the STAFF drive, and navigate to the FilmScanner folder.

Open Movie Folder

Double-click the 'MOVIE' folder within FilmScanner to access the converted video files.

Select Video Files

Select all the .mp4 video files shown in the window for moving.

Initiate File Move

Click the 'MOVE TO' button and select 'Choose location' to start the file transfer.

Choose USB Destination

Select your USB drive as the destination and click 'Move' to transfer files.

Verify Files and Eject Drive

Confirm files transferred correctly on your USB drive and then eject it safely.

Return SD Card

Insert the SD card back into its slot on the MovieMaker Pro.

Return Equipment

Return the USB adapter and take your USB drive and source disks.
