Select the correct take-up reel size (3, 5, or 7 inch) based on the film reel size.
Understand the components and controls of the MovieMaker Pro machine, including buttons and display.
Properly mount the film source reel onto the left-hand arm, ensuring correct orientation.
Power on the MovieMaker Pro and open the film door to begin threading.
Guide the film end under the three silver tabs in the film tray for stable recording.
Loop film under the left knob and follow the routing diagram across the machine to the take-up reel.
Manually pull the film to the take-up reel, aligning the first frames under the viewer.
Close the film tray to secure the film in place for the conversion process.
Check the display screen for the first frame or connect to a TV via the VIDEO OUT port.
Identify film type (8mm or Super 8) and set the corresponding tab on the machine.
Use the adjustment screen to center and zoom the film frames for optimal viewing.
Navigate the menu to select 'RECORD' and press ENTER to start the conversion.
Verify the film type lever is set correctly before starting the recording process.
The film records automatically; stop and manually advance if the film sticks.
Press ENTER to stop the recording process when the film strip ends or manually.
Open the film tray to release the film after the recording process is complete.
Swap reels and thread the film back onto the source reel for storage.

Take the USB adapter and flash drive to a computer for file transfer.
Insert both the USB adapter (with SD card) and your flash drive into the computer's USB ports.
Open File Explorer, select the STAFF drive, and navigate to the FilmScanner folder.
Double-click the 'MOVIE' folder within FilmScanner to access the converted video files.
Select all the .mp4 video files shown in the window for moving.
Click the 'MOVE TO' button and select 'Choose location' to start the file transfer.
Select your USB drive as the destination and click 'Move' to transfer files.
Confirm files transferred correctly on your USB drive and then eject it safely.
Insert the SD card back into its slot on the MovieMaker Pro.
Return the USB adapter and take your USB drive and source disks.
