The pool heat pump, a self-contained unit, is engineered specifically for heating pools. Crafted
with attention to detail, it aims to surpass industry standards with its high-quality components.
This includes an electronic board equipped with a service analyzer, a titanium heat exchanger
tube with a 10-year warranty against corrosion, and a maintenance-free PVC plastic cabinet.
The use of superior quality components ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of the heat
pump.
Unlike gas or oil-fired pool heaters, the pool heat pump operates with a lower BTU/h heating
capacity, requiring longer run times to achieve the desired temperature. It may occasionally
need to operate continuously, up to 24 hours a day. However, this is by design and should not
be a concern for the owner. Despite its continuous operation, the pool heat pump heats the
pool more economically than other heater types. To optimize heating efficiency and minimize
costs, it is recommended to use a pool cover at night and during periods of non-use, especially
if night temperatures drop 15°F below the desired pool temperature. This minimizes evapora-
tion—the primary cause of heat loss—thus significantly reducing heating expenses. In warmer
conditions, the pool cover may not be necessary.
