INSTALLING THE ENGINE

Do not hold the radiator inlet pipe when
removing the engine and moving the
engine by itself.
1. Install:
Engine mounting adjust bolts
(temporary tighten)
2. Install:
Engine
3. Install:
Engine mounting bolt (rear upper side)
“1”
Engine mounting bolt (rear lower side) “2”
Engine mounting nut (rear upper side)
Engine mounting nut (rear lower side)
TIP
Lubricate the upper and lower engine mount-
ing bolts threads with lithium-soap-based
grease.
4. Install:
Engine mount collar (front left side) “1”
(Install together with damper “2”.)
Engine mounting bolt (front left side) “3”
(temporary tighten)
TIP
When installing the engine mount collar (front
left side), set the damper toward the engine.
5. Install:
Engine mount collars (front right side) “1”
Engine mount collar (front right side) “2”
Engine mounting bolt (front right side) “3”
(temporary tighten)
6. Tighten:
Engine mount adjusting bolts
TIP
Use the pivot shaft wrench “1” and pivot shaft
wrench adapter “2” to tighten the engine
mounting adjust bolts.
Make sure that surface of the engine and
bearing surfaces of the engine mounting
adjust bolts are contacting each other.
Engine mount adjusting bolt
7 Nm (0.7 m·kgf, 5.1 ft·lbf)
