6) When the oil begins to flow out of the oil
level plug hole, insert and tighten the oil
level plug.
7) Insert and tighten the oil drain plug.

INSPECTING AND REPLACING
ANODE(S)
Yamaha outboard motor is protected from
corrosion by a sacrificial anode(s).
Check the anode(s) periodically. Remove
the scales from surfaces of the anode(s).
For the inspection and replacement of the
anode(s), consult a Yamaha dealer.
CAUTION:

Do not paint the anode(s), for this would
render it ineffective.

Remove the cover with anode after remov-
ing the bolts

when checking the anode
condition.
