Operation
Procedure
for
tilting
down
(power
tilt
models)
1.
Push
the
power
tilt
switch
(up)
until
the
outboard
motor
is
supported
by
the
tilt
rod
and
the
tilt
support
knob
becomes
free.
2.
Pull
out
the
tilt
support
knob.
4.
Models
equipped
with
trim
rods:
Once
the
outboard
motor
is
supported
with
the
tilt
support
lever,
press
the
power
tilt
switch
(down)
to
retract
the
trim
rods.
NOTICE:
Make
sure
that
the
trim
rods
retracts
completely
during
mooring.
This
protects
the
rods
from
marine
growth
and
corrosion,
which
could
damage
the
power
trim
and
tilt
mecha-
nism.
3.
Push
the
power
tilt
switch
(down)
to
lower
the
outboard
motor
to
the
desired
position.

the
